Family lost everything in Camp Fire
I’m the sister of the family that I’m raising money for. I live across the country and feel like this is the only thing I can do to help. Please read their story below, and if you can, please help.
What started as a regular Thursday morning quickly turned into disaster when the Baker-Lui family found out that they needed to evacuate in order to escape fire that had started in the mountains above Paradise, CA. With an 18 month old in tow, they grabbed everything they could from their home, while nervously watching the smoke and fire already approaching their house. With only a suitcase of clothing for the family, and the computer for important documents and photos, they were thankfully able to escape what is now one of the worst fire disasters in California’s history. Unfortunately, they now, know the fate of their home:
We are so thankful that they escaped with their lives, but now, we want to do everything we can to help assist them while they get back on their feet.
Any donation you give will go towards helping sustain them while they get their lives back on track. Food, rent, clothing, baby gear, and childcare costs all need coverage for a few months (at least) while everything in their lives are unstable.
So please, if you can donate, it would make such a huge difference in one family’s life.
