Hello! How are you? We hope that God is doing as many wonderful things in your life as He is in ours. We’re having a wonderful year in Northern New Hampshire with homeschooling, youth group, dance, drums, exploring, and fostering kids but still feeling God's will to do more for the world around us.
We want to share with you an exciting ministry opportunity that God has presented to us. From February 15th - 22nd, 2019 God has offered us the chance to go to Monjas, Jalapa, Guatemala with a local group from Lyndon United Methodist Church. This 7-day mission trip will be reaching out and spreading gospel to the children at Shadow of His Wings Orphanage.
I, Sarah spent a lot of time in Guatemala as a missionary kid in nearby Honduras and Mexico. To return to this special area of the world and introduce Thad and Gwen to it is beyond exciting! We can’t wait to learn more about the wonderful people of Guatemala and their beautiful culture!
While God has opened up a door for us to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people around the world, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this compassion in several ways. First, you can help pray for us and our fellow teammates. We will need prayers that God will prepare us for our visit and bless our efforts as we minister to the people of Guatemala. We will also need prayers that our financial needs will be met. At this time, we need to raise $1,500 each to attend this trip, and that is quite a challenge!
Another way you can be involved is to help provide that financial support. Would you consider supporting us with a small donation? We have included a postage-paid envelope for you to use if you feel led to contribute. We will need to raise all of our funds by December 2nd in order to pay for airline tickets and other items. Please make checks payable to LUMC. Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, all of your support is greatly appreciated!
We look forward to doing God's work in Guatemala and letting you know all about how God has worked through this team when we return in February.
