Help Me Get Surgery

It has taken me a lot to get to this point. I have never given a thought to using some mass-fundraising effort like this for myself, even in my hardest of financial times. However, with my back condition having me out of work, and the large medical bills soon to come, I have arrived at a point in which I must humble myself to the point of asking a large group of people - you, my friends and family, for help.
As many of you know, I have been suffering from an ever-increasing, to now-since-mid-January debilitating back pain. This is nerve related, and I’m seeing multiple doctors. Regardless of what path is best, I’m definitely going to knock out my annual out-of-pocket medical expenses of $4000.
First, I have to get new MRI’s and X-rays of my back and spine. Due to the fact that I have to get from head to lower back done, this in and of itself will approach $2500-3000 of which will be my responsibility. Then, I have a spinal nerve block and possible implant of a pain stimulator through a pain management doctor or, dependent on the results from the MRI’s and X-rays, spine surgery from my neurosurgeon.
To top it off, being off work has me on short-term disability income. The first 6 weeks in which I receive 100% of my pay, ends on April 5th. After that I receive 60% pay. Not only is this not enough to cover living expenses beyond April 5th, it doesn’t even scratch the surface of the medical bills themselves.
The amount that I’m trying to raise will both cover my medical bills, and pay the difference between my 60% income and what I need to pay for living expenses (rent, utilities, food, etc), through the end of May.
Whereas I don’t expect to reach my target of this fundraising, please know - every single little bit will help. If you can only donate $5, it will be just as much appreciated as a larger donation.
