A Request for Prayer and Kindness for Jeffrey Barton and his soon to be widow, Kellie Barton.

On 06/28, 07/01 & 07/03, 2017, Jeffrey Barton was seen in the ER for what he believed to be a severe sinus infection and because he is a Type 1 diabetic, he wanted to get it treated as soon as possible as diabetes can complicate the most basic ailments. He was given steroid shots and prescriptions for both antibiotics and pain medications and sent home.
On 07/04, he returned to the ER with symptoms that were far greater than they had been prior and also included facial swelling and extreme pain. He was admitted to the hospital and placed in ICU for DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis) a condition that afflicts diabetic individuals, which opened him up to severe infections as it weakens the immune system.
On 07/09, it was decided to preform sinus surgery on Jeffrey to alleviate his infection, symptoms and any possibility of future sinus infections.
On 07/12 Jeffrey was diagnosed with a rare & fatal fungal infection and given, at best, a few months to live. He will be sent home for hospice care with no hope for a cure.
Jeffrey and Kellie have been married for 5 years now, they have not yet begun a family as they were saving towards financing her college education to be an architect. Jeffrey was a landscaper and a Sunday school teacher at his local church. Kellie continues to work but is now struggling to make enough to pay their bills or even enough for the most basic needs.
We humbly seek financial donations in order to assist with the following costs:
· Medical bills
· Ongoing medical expenses and therapies
· Assistance with procurement of medical devices, equipment and technology for in home hospice care.
. Round the clock nursing care
· Ongoing financial support
. Funeral expenses
