Fighting For Dad.

Where do i begin, this is that toughest letter I've had to write... When you put pen to paper the reality of what my dad is facing becomes all to real. The situation all that more important... to do what ever it takes to keep my dad, your papaw,poppi, brother,friend here as long as possible. This go fund me page is that way to show dad I'm right there with you... fighting this disease with you. Lets be honest we all wish we could be there physically with dad as he goes through these treatments and the recovery but we can't. As long as i can remember its always been mom/ dad and that's more than 40+ years. They would say it's still NOT long enough... we've all had a part in this story. It's a story that never gave up... they have the kind of love story that makes you say i hope mines like theirs... the kind where no matter what the good, the bad, the ugly, you thank God you get to experience life with this person kind of love... no regrets. That's the kind of love story my parents display with a grateful heart, cherishing each moment & each other... after 40+ years they still are very much in love. In July 2017 my mom got the call where everything changes, when time stops... CANCER... is what they told my mom that day...a word you hope you never have to hear, has now become your reality... the Dr's are being very frank... with treatments a year, with out maybe 90 days... so treatments are a must but it comes at a price. My mom and dad are going through so much i wanted to set up this page as a way for everyone to show there support. These trips to Vanderbilt are expensive. So helping relieve some of the financial pressure on mom and dad so they won't have to worry about that will help them focus on what's important and that's getting dad better... Moms full attention can be on Dad instead of worrying about raising the funds for the trip there and back...taking time off work...the hotel expenses and recovery time. So let us all show Mom and Dad all the love and support we can...showing each other what family really means!!
