Sam Ennis - Selected to Attend Presidential Inaugural Conference
I have been selected to attend The Congressional Youth Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. from January 19 through January 23, 2013. It is an honor to have been selected.
The Presidential Inaugural Conference is a unique development program that brings together outstanding young people from around the world to directly participate in the pageantry and ceremony of the inauguration of the President and Vice President of the United States. I will experience, firsthand, the hallmark of democracy in action with the peaceful transition of power. The conference is comprised of exclusive and private inaugural events and activities featuring world-renowned keynote speakers and political experts, as well as public ceremonial events, such as the official swearing-in ceremony and the inaugural parade. I will return home with a greater understanding of my role and responsibilities as a citizen and future leader.
In order to qualify for my selection, I have met the higest criteria in academics and leadership.
I have already received a 500.00 scholarship from CYLC for my paper on "The Challenges that will face our Next President". I still need to raise an additional 3,500.00 to cover the remaining cost of the conference tuition and travel expenses.
I thank you in advance for any amount that you may contribute.
