Oakridge Cemetery Veterans Memorial

Donation protected
An historic memorial, first honoring WWI veterans, and now all succeeding conflicts, is in desperate need of  restoration.  The site, at Oakridge Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois, was established in 1929 with the memorial dedicated in 1940.  A rededication took place in 1983.

This is an enduring monument to all veterans which, with your help, will honor in perpetuity those who gave the “last full measure of devotion” to the United States of America.

We plan on removing the cannon, repairing the metal work and the wheels, and repainting the cannon. We will replace all concrete work, and reinstall all plaques and the cannon.  Work is expected to begin July, 2021.

Any donation, no matter how small, helps in our goal to raise $130,000 to complete the restoration. The Department of Illinois of the Jewish War Veterans, caretaker of the monument is a 501(c)4 organization, all donations are tax deductible.
