Hello friends and family of Torreah Cookie” Washington. As many of you know, Cookie was most recently in a car accident that not only totaled her car, but also left her badly banged and bruised up. Thank goodness she survived the crash but this also set her back both physically and financially. Cookie, as we all so affectionally call her,  is responsible for her elder mother who has had two strokes in the past month, her daughter Arianne who has a Hypoxic Brain Injury, and last but not least, her brother who has had cancer and three strokes. Needless to say Cookie has given back to her family in countless ways but now is physically unable to do what she was doing. Not only has she given back to her family,  she has also given back to each of us here in the Low Country and beyond through her Arts, Political activism and her Inner Faith community projects. She truly is a remarkable friend, daughter, sister, cousin and mentor and master artist, and she needs our help. If you donate to this campaign set up specifically for her, please know that every dollar raised will go directly to helping her as she helps her family. When we asked if we could do this for her, she said that usually she would have said “no way!” but before she could refuse, a quote came to mind that she first heard at a function she attended at The Sophia Institute. “The strongest thing a woman can say is, “I need help”.  If you are able, please help.

Abundant Blessings,
