Activate Fundraising for Music Scholarship

The Rev. Mildred E. White Scholarship fund is a (501c 3) with the purpose of awarding a music scholarship to students who are in their sophmore or above year attending an accredited college/university. Currently, we have a Choral Festival that generates our funding, but would like to increase the scholarship from $500.00 to $1,000.00.

Mildred McGlotten White grew up in Whatcoat Church. She became very active in the church and over the years held many positions of leadership: Musician, Choir Leader, Lay Speaker, Lay Leader, to name a few. Ordained in 1953 to clergy status at Tindley Temple under Bishop

She was appointed to serve the Wattsville, Virginia charge in 1959 following the death of her husband, the Rev. Cornelius B. White.
