Stellas surgery

SURGERY UPDATE: 6/14/17

We took stella in for her ultrasound this morning and it showed that she has intestinal intussuception which is telescoping of her intestines ( going inside its self like a telescope) and some signs of a perforated intestinal wall with fluid leakage and part of her colon is dying, we dont know if she has gone septic but based on what we've been told as of now she's not septic which is why this has turned into an emergency to catch it before she does. If she goes septic, there is a 50/50 chance she will make it.. But for now she is at the emergency surgery clinic and is being prepared for surgery.. Recovery time is 3 days and we need to have the rest of the payment of about 4000$ out of the possible 6500$ in order to bring her home.

This is officially the worst case scenario for me and my family. I love Stella like I would my child and i'm lost and don't know what to do. Any donations would really go a long ways. If you can please find it in your heart to share this with your family and friends it would really mean the world to me, my family and most importantly Stella.

IMPORTANT UPDATE : 6/13/17
We just got approved for CareCredit, and are currently in the process of setting up Stellas appointment for her ultrasound and surgery!

:Ultrasound is set for tomorrow morning at 8 am!


Issue
Hi, my name is Brittany,
Recently my puppy Stella became sick about 4 weeks ago. She stopped eating and lost weigh along with vomiting and diarrhea.  

What we've done so far

So far we have been to the vets on 5/30/17-5/31/17-6/8/17 and called in for several different opions from other Vets. We had 6 Xrays done to see if we can find the obstruction and no one seems to know what the issue is. Even with a cerenia injection the forigne object didnt show but it was obvious there is a blockage of some kind

They gave her some metronidazole and some fluid injections to help with vomiting and hydratoin for the course of 5 days, she was able to eat some food and seemed like she was getting better but  those 5 days/meds are up and she is back to where she was.

we went back to the vets on 6/8/17 to get some more metronidazole for 10 more days. We also had a fecal test and blood test done that both came up clean. so far she has not improved while being back on metronidazole.


We are taking her back to the vets on 6/12/17 to have some more IV fluids done to keep her hydrated and to discuss what the next steps are, I spoke to the vets over the phone about scheduling an ultrasound to see if we can see what the issue is,  thats going to cost about $500.

6/13/17
Just got back from another vet visit, took some more xrays and the vets said they dont see any blockage still but they see alot of gas and it appears that things are moving. they also gave her some more fluids for hydration.





Last resort
The vets recommended that we do an ultrasound to see if we can see what is the issue before we have exploritory sugery done to find the issue. Gastroscopy can not be done due to where the issue is in the intestine.  


In the end
It would mean the world to us  if we had some help with getting the funds for the vet bills and surgery that she needs. 

Any of the funds donated will go right to her medical expenses and any treatment needed after her surgery.
