conversion van

Hello, to start off I would like to tell you a bit about me and my situation.  My name is Nikki Meade and I am 45 years old. I am married to my husband of 28 years TJ Meade, and we are both disabled U.S. Army Veterans.  I have four children.  My oldest daughter Courtney then my two boys Marcus and Alex.  Finally my youngest Leleanna. From those I have three grandchildren as well. I have been living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for a little over 18 and a half years and am now living with secondary progressive MS.   As a result of this I have recently gone from walker/wheelchair to power chair bound which I am still waiting to receive.  I have lost a great deal of use of my legs and partial use of my right arm as a result of my secondary progressive MS.  This has lead to many needed life changes in order to accommodate my inability to walk due to falling often. This leads me to the reason I am starting this Go Fund Me page.  Now that I am power chair bound we are in need for a conversion van.  We currently own an old Durango and it is not capable of handling the weight of my new power chair.  The conversion van would allow me to go out of the house much like a normal person with the safety of my power chair because it would prevent me from falling when I try to walk.  Without the ability to haul my chair, I will have less ability to get around in public. The complication with getting a conversion van is that they are very expensive no matter how or where you look.  By starting this Go Fund Me page I am hoping to raise enough money to at least put a large down payment on the conversion van within two years from now.  All the while, keeping our Durango, which has many more problems with its age, running until then.
