Tyson's fund

I moved into a new place with a roommate because I had gotten laid off from my job.  I just recently started working again.  I share a house with my roommate, I live upstairs and he lives downstairs.  I started keeping my dog treats that I give my dogs when I leave in a different location.  While I was at work, my dogs got into a fight with each other, first time this has ever happened in almost 5 years!  It looks like they were trying to get to the treats in the cabinet.  When I came home from work, I did not hear or see my dogs as usual.  Even when I got to the bottom of the stairs, I normally hear them whining, excited to see me, but I heard nothing!  When I opened the door upstairs, the cabinet was half in front of it, and there was blood everywhere!  I was able to get the door open, and I still heard nor saw my dogs.  I thought that they were both dead!  They were lying together on my bed.  Peanut, was lying there, licking my black lab Tyson.  She sat up, her face was a mess!  Tyson would not pick up his head.  When I picked up his head to look at him, the pillows were covered in blood, and his throat was hanging.  I thought for sure he was dying.  I rushed them both to the emergency Vet.  I was given an estimate of $800 to $1087 on the high side for Peanut, and $3000 to $5000 on the high side for Tyson.  My boyfriend put Peanut's bill on his credit card for me, and left the deposit for Tyson, but I need to pay him back.  Tyson's bill is now up to $9,500 and he still needs more treatment.  Anyone who knows me, knows that I love my dogs and all animals more than life!  I am 41, and I don't have human children, my dogs are my babies!  I would do anything at all for them!  They are both home and resting comfortably now, but they both have a long road ahead of healing.  I told them I could not afford the bill right now, but they obviously want their money.  They never told me that the bill was this high...they said by the time he checked out should be around $6800.  I'm still arguing with them, because everything I have been told by this place has been incorrect.  I know that I will probably not be able to raise all the money, but anything at all that I can raise would be incredible.  I have been living on my own since I was 18, and I have never been one to take or ask for handouts...but in this case I have no other choice.  I'm also looking into programs that offer vet assistance.  But I have to apply for those funds, and it will take a while.  Anything you can spare would be appreciated more than you know!  And I would appreciate it if you can share this.  If I end up raising more than what the bill is worth, I am going to donate it to someone else that might need help with their vet bills.   I put some pictures below of the bill, the two dogs after the incident, a little glimpse of some of the scene I walked into, I was too distraught that night to take pics of the mess, and a picture of them when they are happy and healthy, and hanging out together.
