Tyson's arm and Paw Injury

Hi. Tyson is a 6 year old German Shephard who has spent his life being a loyal and wonderful companion to my girlfriend and I. Last year he had a really awful limp that made walking and playing really hard. His arm became swollen and his paw looked like the size of a baseball glove. We found out that he had an infection that would reoccur all the time as he had bones that never fused with his elbow joints - basically his bones are loose and shaped weirdly so they agitate the soft tissue over top of his arm joint/bone - so whenever he would fully extend his arm the bones would grind together and it would be really debilitating for him. The only way to treat it short-term is to keep giving him antibiotics and pain killers but that is racking up vet bills for us both ( the Vets always insist on getting bloodwork x-rays and an elbow tap done to make sure that it is the same condition every time so I have to pay for a actual check up every time as well which is why the cost is more than just simply paying for antibiotics themselves) and the long-term solution is way too expensive for myself and my partner as she is working two part-time jobs to make ends meet. She tutors and teaches part time. I am a fulltime post secondary student. The Vets estimation is far more than we can afford right now. We are getting an updated estimate this month. We don't want to see Tyson in pain anymore and we want him to be able to enjoy his life and be pain free and able to do all the dog things he loves. And I feel even more crappy about this because he needs help and I can't give it to him. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated, it would mean the world to us.
