Tyson Williams Fundraiser

Up until the age of 16 years old Tyson Williams was a fit, healthy and active young man, but after the discovery of several tumours in his spinal cord (Pilocytic astrocytoma) along with several other medical complications,  his life has changed dramatically. 

Being in considerable pain, Tyson, underwent an operation to the whole of his spine in an attempt to remove the tumours, however the tumours had affected his spinal cord leaving him with serious disability to his left side and causing his left foot to twist backwards. This ultimately left Tyson and his family with the heartbreaking decision upon the advice of his doctors to have his left leg amputated at the hip, fortunately however after six weeks of intensive physio and medication they were able to leave the remainder of his leg and only remove his left foot at the ankle.
This amazing young man has had to endure so much already and he does so with a smile still on his face and the determination to continue on.

Now at 19 years of age we would like to help Tyson to reclaim some of the freedoms that the majority of us take for granted, as Tyson has now been assessed by NDIS for suitability for Hand Controlled Driving, which he has passed easily. He is currently completing his driving lessons for his license and we at the Lions Club would love to be able to organise a Hand-controlled Car for him.

Tyson, his family and all of us at the Lions Club Mandurah would be exceedingly grateful for any amount you could spare to help Tyson.

All funds received through this gofundme page would be used towards the car for Tyson, and if the goal amount was exceeded the excess would be set aside  for Tyson's future use. All funds received are administered by the Lions Club of Mandurah INC. Public funds administered by the Lions club of Mandurah are not subject to administration fees and charges.
