We do not want to lose him....

Our English Bulldog has had an infection under his tail for months now and has worsened even when following Veterinarian instructions and giving Tyrion his medicine. They had told us that he had hemorrhoids and to make sure he takes his antibiotics. We clean him every day, make sure he's clean after going to the bathroom, we are doing everything we can to help him heal and make him comfortable. Nothing worked. He has went through numerous Veterinarian visits trying to figure out what is wrong with him and it breaks our hearts watching him in so much discomfort and pain, we decided to get a second opinion.

The second Veterinarian did their exam and even when we requested to have him sedated because of how painful it is for him, they did not do so and Tyrion could be heard in the reception area screaming, yelping and crying  during his exam. They told us that it looks like sores were forming under his tail because the tail wasn't properly cropped and may need a surgery. However, only a few Veterinarians in this state will do crop surgery, we were able to get him an appointment for an exam at the referred Veterinarian. We make yet another appointment with a third Veterinarian trying to find answers and get Tyrion the surgery necessary to help him. We were told that the tail amputation will cost $2,500.00 (not including his prescriptions) so we set an appointment for the x-ray and surgery. The day of the scheduled cropping surgery, my mother received a call saying they needed her to come in immediately and that there has been new findings regarding Tyrion's condition and they cannot operate. The x-ray was horrifying....

Tyrion has a birth defect in which the tail has grown into itself and into his body, looks like a fish hook inside of him. My mother scrambled for answers as to how this could have happened and the Doctor informed her that it is no one's fault, it is a birth defect. The infection has made it's way to his invertebrae and the surgery is twice as expensive. They cleaned out the bacteria and puss under his tail and he's felt so much better but without the surgery, it can come back and he's going to be in that kind of discomfort and pain again. The Doctor told my mother that they would love to do what they can for Tyrion and to inquire about making payment plans with the office manager. My mother had been trying to contact her for over a few days after the final exam, when she finally received the call, the office manager advised my mother that she should start a GoFundMe page as many others have done. It was a little off putting as we just wanted to set up a plan but we will do what we can. She said she could not offer a payment plan and didn't give us reason.

So here we are in the hopes that we may raise enough to get Tyrion's operation. They said that if the operation isn't done, the infection will spread and ultimately be fatal then our only option would be euthanization, absolutely not. He is only 3 years old and has a long, happy, fullfilling life to live, we will not give up on him and will do whatever we can. He's an incredible dog we absolutely love and can't live without, we still have so much time left with him. They gave us 2 weeks of antibiotics and will need his operation as soon as possible. The operation has gone from $2,500.00 to $4,500.00-$5,000.00 (exluding his prescriptions). UPDATE: We received the estimate, pictured below!

Any amount donated to Tyrion is deeply appreciated and words cannot express our gratitude.  If you have any questions or further recommendations, we are more than happy to respond. Once our goal is met and the appointment is scheduled, we will certainly make sure to post his updates and progress. Thank you all for your support!
