My name is Tyrese Carr White and I am a year 9 student at Kinross Wolaroi School.
I am one of 25 students to be offered the opportunity to attend the school history tour to Europe.
This opportunity is being offered to students who have excelled in their studies.
I am a young Aboriginal man striving to succeed in my education and am passionate about History and French.
This trip is extremely inportant to me as my great great grandfather Earnest Smith fought in WW1 for the ...54th Battalion. In his service he fought in France and this trip would give me the opportunity to see where he fought as well as build my history knowledge and global awareness.
Given the opportnity to go on this trip, I believe will empower other Aboriginal students to access opportunites offered them. I hope to share knowledge and my experience with them and others.
I am proud of my achievements so far.
My journey so far in school being away from my family has given me great strengths and has contributed to my hunger for a better future.
I would be grateful for any donation that you may be able to assist me with.
Throughout my trip, I will be documenting my journey and look forward to sharing my experience with everyone.
