Typhoon Ursula - Repair Maujao National High Sch.

Donation protected
I'm Rio, and I am a very proud Filipinx. My Great-grandmother taught me to have pride in our home, and to me, our home is in Maujao, Oriental Mindoro.  So it's with a truly heavy heart that on behalf of Maujao National High School (located on South Oriental Mindoro)  - and with permission from the Headteacher Francisco Faner Jr, we are looking to raise immediate funds to repair the building, reinforce the roofs and all equipment and school furniture with the aim that the students can return to school in January at the end of the holidays. Typhoon Ursula made landfall in The Philippines over the holiday period, bringing with it floods, and insane wind, it has left many regions without shelter, food, power etc. Maujao National High School - with a population of over 600 (which began with only 50 or so students when it was proposed in 2001) sustained 2 million Pesos (£30k)  worth of damages. It provides education from Kindergarten through to y12, and before it was built the nearest schools required a few hours travel via boat, or more and was v treacherous for young kids.  Funds raised would be used to pay for: - Electrical rewiring - The Library/Replace content - Computers  - Roofs - Desks and Chairs - Tables - Blackboard - Windows - Restore the general grounds of the school
