In memory of Tyler Roberts

On October 2, 2017, Tyler Roberts was in Ottawa with his fiancé, Sarah Anderson. The two of them were looking forward to their wedding day, only five days away, when Tyler suddenly passed away. Instead of her dream wedding, Sarah is saying goodbye to her partner, best friend and love of her life.

Sarah is a community champion in Fort McMurray, volunteering with countless organizations as well as sitting on multiple boards and committees. She has been deeply involved in Fort McMurray’s recovery from the 2016 wildfire and has given more of herself to the region than many will ever know.

Fort McMurray is a special place, where the resolve of those who live here is strengthened by the bonds we share. We take care of each other, and right now, one of our family members needs our help.

There is so little we can do or say, but we have decided to do what we can, and host a benefit event in Tyler’s memory on October 13 from 6- 11p.m. at the Wood BUffalo Brewing Co in Fort McMurray.
