Tyler's Rebound

Tyler Welz was in a serious car accident a few weeks ago. As a result of the accident, he sustained severe head trauma. He was trauma hawked to Melbourne where emergency surgery was performed to relieve swelling in his brain. Tyler also had a punctured lung, broken vertebrae and broken ribs. Tyler is on the rebound and on his way to recovery, but it's going to be a long process. Currently Tyler is in a rehab facility in Jacksonville where he is learning how to walk and talk again.  He is so determined and his progress is going well.  As you can imagine, the medical bills are mounting. There are so many things that insurance does not cover such as co-payments, lost wages, and gas money (the rehab facility is 3 hours from home). The Welz family is a proud, hardworking family. Tyler's mom, Terrie, is my best friend. We met when our sons were in 2nd grade and we have been friends ever since.  Our sons are also best friends.
