Tyler Loves Lucy

Anyone who has the pleasure of knowing Tyler Cloherty is familiar with her innate kindness and spirit of generosity, which are traits that are amplified by her love of animals.

As many of you may know, Tyler inherited her mom’s 16 year old rescue dog Lucy, who is thriving under Tyler’s loving care, but also has a number of medical issues. Now blind as well as deaf, Lucy lives with heart and kidney disease, as well as glaucoma, all expensive to treat, requiring ongoing monitoring and monthly medication refills. Tyler and Lucy's marathon downtown walks may be over, but Lucy still loves running in the yard (sometimes in circles, due to vision loss!) and relishes a good meal. She is the same uncomplaining angel in old age that she was in her youth.

If we can raise $5,000 to cover the costs of Lucy’s care for the next year, it would relieve Tyler of the stress of wondering how she will manage to pay for the well-being of her beloved charge, and offer a tangible means of reciprocation for all of the good she does in the world.
