Tyendinaga Legal Funds
On February 6th of this year the Wet'suwet'en people were invaded by the RCMP and arrested for defending their own land. Mohawk people in Tyendinaga recognize the Wet'suwet'en as a sovereign nation under attack by canada. People in Tyendinaga denied rail transport across their lands as an economic block on canada until the RCMP removed themselves from Wet'suwet'en territory. As a result many of the warriors involved were arrested and charged by the Ontario Provincial Police.
Due to the criminalization of our people we are still navigating the colonial court system and require assistance as we continue to defend ourselves. The next court date is in January 2021 with ongoing court dates expected. We appreciate any contributions to support the defence of our people.
All contributions will go towards the legal fees and any costs associated with the defence of our people, any funds exceeding these costs will be utilized for land back ventures.
