Tychinski Trombone+ Band CD Project

Hi!  I am the trombone professor at the University of Delaware.  In recent years, I have sought out composers to write new works for trombone and band and help to increase the number and quality of works for this instrumentation.  Ultimately, a professional recording of these works will help familiarize others with this music and generate new interest in performing these works throughout the world.  This recording showcases four new compositions for trombone and band.  Three of these are works that I commissioned: Divertimento for Trombone and Band by Jack Stamp (2013), Trombone Concerto No.2 by Todd Goodman (2017), and The Three Dachshunds by Robert Litton (2017).  The fourth work, Capriccio by Frank Gulino (2010) was composed for Chris Dudley of the Baltimore Symphony.

 All four pieces have been recorded with the UD Wind Ensemble and the Northern Delaware Wind Orchestra in May and June 2017.  I am grateful for the many talented musicians that performed and donated their time to recording these pieces.  We now have 4 days of raw recordings with production notes and that is where things stand currently.  While I have been able to complete the commission expenses and most of the initial recording costs through grants, there is still a sizeable deficit remaining to complete this project.  This is why I am reaching out to the online community to help this valuable project reach its conclusion.
