TexasUhuruto Diaspora Campaign 2017

The Supreme Court of Kenya nullified the Presidential elections held on August 8, 2017 after President Uhuru had been declared the winner by IEBC. People took to the streets and others found solace BY expressing their dismay on the various social media outlets. We know that no matter how many times we tweet, facebook, chat, share and retweet, votes are not cast on social media. With stakes this high Kenyans in the Diaspora would like to impact.

TexasUhuruto is an organization of ordinary Kenyans like you in the Diaspora. The organization is fully registered in the city of Dallas Texas. We love Kenya and that is why we have agreed to volunteer our time and resources to ensure the country remains on the strong path of progress. All Kenyans and the whole World have witnessed what the dynamic duo of Uhuru Kenyatta and Wiliam Ruto can do given a chance and support. Unfortunately, the opposition leaders have chosen to be obstructionists through the years. We have seen their attempts at making it difficult to hold free and fair elections; we have seen their attempts at destabilizing the country. Unfortunately, these machinations have affected our country’s economy negatively. But they could care less. The dynamic duo has worked hard to mend fences with all Kenyans and have vowed to unite all; but the opposition leaders have continuously preached divisiveness, tribalism and ethnic cleansing. We have seen how the opposition leaders’ greed for power has led to lack of respect for established institutions and especially the IEBC and the Judiciary. We have seen how these same opposition leaders have disrupted Kenyans by encouraging their supporters to violently demonstrate in the streets; and at times with fatal results. But they do not care. It is time for all Kenyans who care, wherever you are, to put your mark on the way forward. And the basis of the way forward is to have President Uhuru and his Deputy Ruto be confirmed on October 26, 2017. A time will come to sit back and relax; but that time is not now. A time will come for celebrations; but that time is not now! This is the time to rise up and challenge the negative forces, so intent on obstructing progress and development of our beloved Kenya.

Our aim is to spare no effort in making an impact on the ground before, during and after the polling day on October 26, 2017. We have taken time to plan and map out a winning strategy. We are working with Jubilee Party Secretariat headed by Raphael Tuju; and our liaison person, Veronica Maina who has agreed to work with us to ensure our efforts are directed to the areas of most need. To make an impact on the ground, and with consultation with Secretariat, we have chosen the following strategies:

1) Get out the Vote
 a) increase voter turn-out in chosen Jubilee strongholds
 b) increase percentage of support in 50/50 and other counties.
2) Guard the Vote - Ring fencing
Support the efforts of the Secretariat to defend the Party against opposition     machinations and propaganda.

For effectiveness, we NOW need resources. Time is short. The funds raising team has come up with a conservative working budget of $85,000. All the funds will be channeled to the ground through the Secretariat/Liaison with a continuous report provided for the work done.

We are thankful that all of you are ready to pick up the challenge of ensuring the confirmation of the dynamic duo of Uhuru and Ruto on October 26. The task is huge and the time is short. But with all of us playing our role, this is a task that is easily achievable. We may not be able to go vote, but we can MOVE the vote; we may not be able to go vote, but we can GUARD the vote. The funds raising effort is led by the following volunteering and ordinary patriots ready to serve Kenya unreservedly:
- Eric Tutu; Pamela Leitich; Patrick Nganga; Julius Ndani;   Wilson Muchai and Vincent Tongi.
The team will work with our liaison person at the Party to ensure accountability and transparency in directing the funds to the areas identified in our strategy. We appreciate the efforts of all supporters, including the many teams and groups in the Diaspora that are working towards a progressive Kenya, devoid of daily insults and negativity.  The Team will further be supported by many others for strategy and logistics.

Thank you for taking time to think about our beloved country and her future. Together we can effectively take the country forward. Particularly, we thank you for agreeing to be part of the Kenya Diaspora effort to ensure that President Uhuru Kenyatta is confirmed by voters on October 26, 2017.

We encourage all to vote for peace. We object any attempts at violence. We will not violently demonstrate. We will walk and call for peace.

If not now, when? If not you, who? It is time to give your support. There is no better time. And encourage others to follow your example.
