Harvey Labrador Rescue Relief Fund

Tax deductible
Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas Gulf Coast bringing mass destruction, historic flooding and complete devastation to everything in its path.  After the flooding subsides, the aftermath will undoubtedly bring forth thousands of pets that no longer have homes to return to.
Southeast Texas Labrador Retriever Rescue is teaming up with Rescue Organizations across the Country to be prepared and ready to help Labrador Retrievers (and Friends!) that find themselves displaced following Harvey.  After surviving a Category 4 Hurricane, dogs arriving in shelters following Harvey will undoubtedly be beyond stressed and looking for a safe place to decompress, the last thing they need to do is spend a single night in an already heavily overpopulated Texas Animal Shelter where dogs are euthanised on a daily basis.

We want to be able to help as many as we possibly can by providing that safe place and making certain that each dog is provided proper Veterinary care, a soft place to land and is healthy prior to being transported to foster and adoptive homes in and out of Texas.

Calls and emails to STLRR have already started to come in requesting our assistance with Labradors in need.
We do not ask for funding of this magnitude very often however, in light of Hurricane Harvey's Aftermath, we are reaching out to you now.

We need your help to make this happen.

Dogs coming into our program may need vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchipping, spay/neutering, heartworm treatment and medical care for other ailments/illness/injuries that may have ocurred while fighting for their lives in 130+ mph winds, or swimming for safety torrential downpours and flooding.

Transports out of state will require not only proper Vetting, but also health certificates as well as logistical costs such as the rental of a Van, the purchase of travel kennels, and funding for transportation in general.

After surviving Hurricane Harvey ourselves, we know first hand what they have been through and it involves many sleepless, terrifying and helpless days and nights.  Please help us help as many Labradors (and friends!) in need as we can.
