My dear friends, the Chevaliers (Chevy), are starting the roller coaster of adopting a child in need. We met Kendal, Kristin and Kael in 2018 when we were transitioning out of the Marine Corps. Our families made a quick connection and have been close ever since. Kendal and Kristin have always wanted to adopt and have tossed the dream around for a few years. After many nights in prayer, they believe now is the time.
In the past few months, they have been in the process of collecting the proper documents, getting their house inspected, doing back ground checks, and doing whatever else the adoption agency has asked of them. Their profile is currently posted online so expected mothers can have the opportunity to view and hopefully select the Chevys.
Adoption is an expensive process, so that is why we created this gofundme to help support them in any way we can. It may surprise you that adoption related costs can easily total up to $40,000 or more. We set our goal for $10,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. Funding will be used to help cover legal fees, medical expenses of the birth mother, administrative fees to the partner agency, and any travel that might be required to the birth mother's state of residence.
The world is a tough place right now, and we have to support those who are willing to make it better! The Chevys are a great family who are ready to provide for, care for, and love a child in need. Please be in prayer for the Chevy family as they go through this long, costly, emotionally perilous ride. Any and all support and prayers are greatly appreciated.
