Gage Needs Your Help

Donation protected
Gage is four years old.

Recently, he started complaining of body aches, headaches, and had a fever of 103 that would not break for days.  His parents, Dominic and Nicole, immediately took Gage to the pediatrician, where tests were run, and blood was drawn.  They were worried that their son had Covid-19.  Little did they know they were about to receive life-shattering news.

On 02-10-2021, Dominic and Nicole received a panicked phone call from the pediatrician’s office stating they were to immediately take Gage to the St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida.  He, in fact, did not have Covid-19, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.  This news devastated his parents and leaving his six-year-old sister, Gemma, wondering where her brother is and if she will ever see him again.

Gage has been in the hospital ever since, and despite it all, he remains in great spirits.  Subsequent to his diagnosis, Gage has had to have bone marrow surgery, a spinal tap, blood transfusions, and chemotherapy for his Leukemia.  This is way too much on his little body, but he still manages to smile every day.  Co-workers and family of Dominic and Nicole have brought gifts to the hospital for Gage, which has helped occupy his mind from all the pain he is enduring; however, his parents are in need of financial assistance.  Dominic and Nicole have been relentlessly taking turns staying with Gage and even sleeping at the hospital with their son.  They are both hardworking parents and have had to take a leave of absence from their employment to care for him.  Not only do they both have to be there 100% for Gage, but they also need to be there for their daughter Gemma, which is why we have started this Go Fund Me to assist with Gages’ medical bills.  Dominic is a Firefighter/Paramedic and Nicole is a Police Officer, so their vacation and sick pay will only last them so long and Gages’ needs are much greater.

The doctors have advised Gage will need chemotherapy for two years, and additional bone marrow and spinal surgeries are in this sweet boy’s future. No child should ever have to endure these painful treatments.

We are praying for a full and complete recovery for him. This young family needs all of our love, support, and financial help to get through this and to get Gage back to 100% where he should be and to get this family back together.
