With hopeful hearts, endless prayers, and countless tears, our own breaths slipped out along with his. On December 11th at 12:05 pm, Mike Twogood left this earth. A dedicated and loyal husband, loving father, kind Papa, cherished brother and son… this loss is not just ours. We all feel it.
His passing is so very unexpected. After a couple days with flu-like symptoms, Mike was rushed to the emergency room at Poudre Valley Hospital and spent 7 days in Intensive Care on life support fighting a sudden and extremely aggressive infection. Sadly, his body could no longer fight it. We are all heartbroken and crushed with the loss of such an incredible man.
Mike was a man who gave more than he ever had to everyone around him. He was always lending a hand, advice, support, his talent, an ear and his time again and again to each of us. Friends and family alike. It is safe to say when people remember him: giving, kind and generous are just a few words that easily come to mind.
Mike spent his life alongside his wife Linda, children Nathan and Melissa (her husband, Jake) and their children Lila and Owen who lovingly called him Papa. He loved the Lord and poured into their church, Mountain Life for the last 14 years where they planted their roots in fellowship and friendship. He was a man of every talent, master woodcrafter and it’s fair to say those who knew and loved him are better for having Mike in their lives.
As his family, we couldn’t possibly begin to explain exactly what he means to us, but the outpouring of love shows that he meant so much to many of you as well. As Linda begins to learn to walk this life without Mike we are left with incredible memories to lean on, but not without significant medical expenses, a memorial to remember and honor Mike, and the adjustment in income. We wanted to provide an opportunity for you to contribute your support for the Twogood family.
All gifts will go directly to the family for these expenses. Linda works as media technology assistant at a local middle school in town. She will undoubtedly feel this financial burden over the next several months and even years as she adjusts to this sudden loss. If you would like to contribute, any dollar goes a long way.
