Two year old boy Adrian Muharemagic needs medications

Hello, my name is Azemina Gibic and I am opening an appeal for donations for Adrian Muharemagic, a two year old boy from Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegowina) , who is facing a difficult fight for his life after being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the complications that followed.

His parents, mother Darija and father Edin, point out that the costs of hospital treatment and accommodation in Turkey are covered by the Public Health Institute Tuzla, but additional costs, such as non-reimbursed medications, are covered by the family themselves.

Adrian received the medication for three months and it was necessary to allocate 50000€ for that medication. They turned to the Solidarity Fund in Bosnia, which unfortunately refused their reimbursement, as well as their appeal. All invoices have been duly submitted. They cannot continue on their own and now they need the help of all people of good will.

Adrian has gone through 6 brain surgeries, 8 bone marrow extractions, the placement of 3 central venous catheters, 2 months of intrathecal medication, numerous MRIs, CT scans, X-rays and blood tests.

He was also diagnosed with cerebral aspergillosis, which affected his left eye, causing him to lose his vision. He will soon need a prosthetic for the affected eye, and he has been fed exclusively via nasogastric tube for a year.

Adrian is currently receiving treatment for cerebral aspergillosis at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital, and as of January 16, 2025, he has begun intensive physical rehabilitation because he is not yet able to stand and walk independently.
