Two Eng. Students

Please, help two Engineering students, Juach Kur and Moses Kat, from South Sudan, to complete their last year of studies. Juach Kur is 24-years-old. He is currently in his third year of college studies at Harare Institute of Technology-Zimbabwe. Juach Kur is exceptionally talented and gifted. He is closer to becoming a chemical engineer by the end of his final year if a miracle happens to get his school fees paid. He remains with three more quarters to complete. Mr. Kur enrolled in 2015 on a South Sudanese government scholarship to Zimbabwe. The second potential Engineer, equally talented and gifted South Sudanese student as well, is Moses Kat. Moses was admitted becoming a Chemical and Processing System Engineer at the same Harare Institute of Technology. Moses was among the 148 students that were sent by the government of South Sudan to Zimbabwe in 2015 . Unfortunately, given the dire situation of South Sudan’s economy, South Sudan’s Council of Ministers has abruptly decided that making Juach Kur and Moses Kat, along with other colleagues, complete their last year of college education in Zimbabwe is not a priority. Juach Kur, Moses Kat, and a lot of their colleagues have been ordered to drop their studies and return to South Sudan within the shortest time possible. Juach Kur and Moses Kat come from Panaruu community of Panrieng, Ruweng State. The members of the South Sudanese Lost Boys and Girls from Panaruu community living in Canada, USA, and Australia are appealing to any coalition of willing donors to help fund these promising South Sudanese students to remain in Zimbabwe where they need to complete their last year of studies. Juach Kur and Moses Kat project $20,500 American dollars for school fees, accommodation, and meal will help them complete their bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering within the remaining three quarters. $20,500 USA dollars is the whole amount they need and finish school in Zimbabwe, return to South Sudan, and make a difference there. South Sudan is such a new and fragile state with more than 70% illiteracy rate. With that alarming illiteracy rate, the new nation is trapped by ethnic violent conflict since 2010. We, the members of the South Sudanese Lost Boys and Lost Girls believe that giving young South Sudanese modern education is a tool to replace arms with knowledge for the youth. Please, join us to help Juach Kur and Moses Kat to remain in school in Zimbabwe and complete their bachelor’s degrees. Any donation of any amount will make a difference.
