On 21st August, our twin girls, Cassie and Maeve, will celebrate their first birthday. They were born prematurely and spent the first six weeks of their lives in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

The care they received was nothing short of life-changing. The NICU team not only gave our babies the chance to grow stronger each day — they also supported us as parents through some of the most difficult and emotional moments of our lives.

To honour our girls’ first birthday and to give back to the unit that gave us so much, we’ve created a two-day fundraiser:

Saturday 30th August – We’re taking part in the Braw Fitness Games, a challenging day of team workouts and grit.

Sunday 31st August – We’re hiking Mayar and Dreish in tribute to our journey and the strength of our girls.

We’re calling it “Two Days for the Twins”, and every step, lift, and breath will be in honour of Cassie, Maeve, and all the babies who begin their lives in the NICU.

All funds raised will go directly to the Ninewells NICU to help provide vital equipment, support services, and comfort items for families going through the neonatal journey.
