We’re Heather & Alex, and we’re reaching out during a season of unexpected challenges and transformative change. After purchasing our home we discovered devastating issues that require costly repairs. We’re currently pursuing a real estate legal case to hold the sellers accountable, but the legal fees alone have already begun to overwhelm us.

At the same time, we’re navigating a deeply personal and meaningful journey: the termination of parental rights and adoption process for Alex to adopt my daughter. This is a fight we’re committed to, and one that comes with its own set of legal costs.

Between these two battles—one for our home, and one for our family—our savings have been drained. We’re fundraising to cover legal expenses and to keep our footing while we work toward resolution and healing.
