<div>Our family has been through the unimaginable, and we are still fighting. It is difficult to reach out for help and support; however, our family continues to face incredible challenges following both my husband and our ten-year-old daughter being diagnosed with cancer.

<div>Our journey actually started in 2018, just six weeks after we welcomed our baby boy into the world. <strong>My husband was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, an aggressive and incurable form of blood cancer.</strong> What should have been a joyful time for our growing family quickly turned into one filled with fear, hospital visits, and overwhelming uncertainty. After a harrowing year, my husband’s cancer went into remission, and we worked to move forward with our lives, grateful for our blessings and our children.

<div>Then, last year, the unthinkable happened. Our sweet baby girl started having unexplainable involuntary movements. I tried not to worry, but as a mother, I just had a sense that something was wrong. We moved through doctor appointments and testing. Within weeks of pursuing this, we got the most horrific news a parent can hear.  <strong>Our precious child was diagnosed with a rare and exceedingly aggressive malignant brain tumor.</strong> In an instant, our lives completely changed. We went from the normalcy of routines, pick-up/drop-off, homework, and bedtime snuggles to doctors, hospital appointments, surgery, and weeks upon weeks of radiation. To say that it was hard does not describe the experience. It is something we all survived, but it left us wounded. Again, we got through treatment, rang the bell, and proclaimed healing.

<div>As we worked our way back toward stability and normalcy and were feeling some sense of relief from our daughter’s successful treatment, we learned that my husband’s cancer was back. It almost seems unbelievable, but it’s true. He is moving through treatment currently, and we are hopeful. But we are also worn.

<div>Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, our family is stretched to its limit. And financially, we are drowning. Between these two life-altering diagnoses, countless hospital visits, and mountains of medical bills, we are emotionally and financially depleted. We’ve done everything we can to stay afloat—cutting expenses, applying for aid, and working extra hours when possible—but it’s not enough. The medical debt is overwhelming. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs for treatments, medications, co-pays, and travel have added up to more than we can manage. I’ve been trying to work and care for everyone at the same time, but we are falling behind—on monthly bills and our basic needs.

<div>Our daughter continues to need MRIs, follow-up tests, and specialist visits, and my husband continues with weekly cancer treatment. <strong>We are humbly asking for any support you can give.</strong> We need financial support to cover past medical debt, ongoing medical expenses, and daily living expenses to provide stability to our family and, most importantly, our children who have been through so much. We appreciate anything that can be offered and will be grateful for your words of encouragement, sharing this story, and any donation you are able to make.
