Hello, we are Amy and Candice Williams, 31 year old twin sisters. We were selected to compete on Team Ohio for the Women's Basketball team for Special Olympics USA Games. We both grew up playing t-ball, soccer, basketball, and bowling and never let our disability get in our way. We started high school in Illinois where we did not have a great experience. There were many times we were made fun of, shoved into lockers, and not treated how we deserved. We left after our Sophomore year, and once again moved. We went to a new high school where we were on the basketball and track team. We were made to feel like everyone else, despite disabilities. After graduating, we were not involved in anything for 10 years until we moved to Ohio with my sister Sally. Despite our past, lack of assistance from programs, we found Goodwill where we were welcomed, met friends, and now participate and shine. We play basketball, track, tennis, and this year football. We love our friends and competing. Thank you for looking at our page and supporting this once in a lifetime dream. This is the best thing that ever happened.
