<div>I'm Helmi Hirez, and my brother is Mohammed Hirez. Born on August 1st, 2004, we're 19-year-old college students navigating life as identical twins in Gaza, driven by a shared passion for technology. Mohammed is studying AI engineering, while I'm studying Information Security Engineering and filling volunteering, photography, and filmmaking into my world. Our favorite momery is Winning an international filmmaking festival with a heartfelt musical film crafted alongside friends. We had a wonderful life.

<div>As the harsh reality of war unfolded in Gaza, our lives spiraled into unimaginable challenges. The struggle for essentials like food and clean water became a daily battle. Standing in lines for hours to secure a mere gallon of water then carried it for miles to our family – our father, mother, and big sister.

<div>On November 11th, we embarked on a terrifying journey on foot from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip, surrounded by the deafening echoes of shelling. A week later, our sweet home that holds all of our warm momeries was bombed by two rockets and became a pile of rubble taking the lives of 13 beloved family members.

<div>2 months later, after we finally found some stability as homless raffgues in Rafah city in our relatives house. Another nightmare persisted into our shattered world in the middle of the night on February 12th during military operations in Rafah City. We found ourselves caught in the crossfire and continues shelling when the house next to us got bombed by four rockets. The space between the two buildings is less than one meter!! , couldn't shield us from the onslaught. Fire, rubble, and rocks rained down, trapping us. Somehow, my brother and I managed to escape first, embarking on a frantic effort by digging by hands to rescue our father, sister, and mother. We got them out of them rubble alive but our beloved mother was suffering from internal bleeding. No ambulance was able to reach us for 30 minutes and she didn't make it.

<div>We are left with a absolute void, having lost everything from the comforting embrace of our home to the warmth of our beloved mother. Our sole source of income, our educational pursuits, and every facet of our lives have crumbled. With hearts heavy with grief, we turn to you, clinging to the hope that your assistance can help us evacuate to safety and rebuild our shattered lives. <div>من أول ما بدأت الحرب بغزة، أصبحت حياتنا عبارة عن صراع للبقاء، وتوفير أقل ضرورويات الحياة، من الأكل والمياه الحلوة للشرب، صرنا نقف طوابير كل يوم بس عشان نعبي غلن مي ونحمله لأميال عشان نوصله للبيت، بحكم أنو ما في اي وسيلة مواصلات.

<div>يوم 11 نوفمبر، بعد ما دخل الجيش غزة، نزحنا قصراً من شمال قطاع غزة إلى جنوبه سيراً على الأقدام وسط اصوات الرصاص، والقصف المستمر، والاعتقال العشوائي، ووصلنا إلى مدينة رفح.

<div>بعد أسبوع بالتمام من نزوحنا انقصف بيتنا الجميل، مهد ومخزن الذكريات الذي لم نعش بغيره واصبح كومة من الأنقاض، واستشهد فيه 13 من اقاربنا واحبائنا لنصبح نازحين بلا بيت لنعود إليه.

<div>بعد شهرين من نزوحنا إلى رفح ولجؤنا إلى بيت أحد الأقارب في مخيم يبنا، حيث المسافة بين البيوت أقل من متر واحد!!، حل كابوس 12 فبراير، بتمام الساعة 2:10 بمنتصف الليل انقصف البيت المجاور لنا بأربعة صورايخ دفنتنا تحت الركام، والنار، والبارود، استطعت أنا واخي بمجهود عظيم من اخراج أنفسنا من تحت الأنقاض، وبدئنا بإخراج باقي أفراد الاسرة ونحن نحفر الركام بأيدينا، اخرجنا ابي، ثم اختي الكبيرة، ثم أمي ولكن الوقت كان قد تاخر، حيث كانت تعاني من نزيف داخلي، ولم تصمد إلى أن آتي الإسعاف والذي تاخر 30 دقيقة، نتيجة قطع الركام والقصف للطرق.

<div>تركنا في فراغ، بعد أن فقدنا كل ما نملك، أمنا، بيتنا، جامعاتنا، مصدر دخلنا الوحيد، وتهاوت حياتنا إلى أنقاض، نحن ننظر اليك حتى تساعدنا لنصل إلى مكان أمن ونعيد بناء ما تبقى من حياتنا المدمرة.
