Twenty-two a day to Zero

The cover photo for this fundraiser is inspired by Devin Mitchell and his photo book volumes titled The Veteran Vision Project. I was compelled to replicate his message in this photo by not just raising awareness for the prevention of veteran suicide but by donating to programs and being actionable in fundraisers as I have donein the past.

As some of you know, the statistics of suicide of veterans are climbing at a staggering rate and these individual cases will continue to rise if something is not done to decrease the numbers to zero. I raise the question "What can I do?" We all know, money alone isn't going to solve the issue of losing our service members that have sacrificed so much, yet ask nothing back in return.

I wholeheartedly believe it starts at the core at the home front. I've seen first-hand the effects of suicide of senior peers, junior soldiers and peers alike which leaves pain and scars on friends, family and colleagues. Encouraging friends and family on life goals, personal growth and life worthiness has always been my number one mission ever since my tour overseas changed the way I value life.

Please join me in making a difference. I'm raising money to benefit Active Heroes Inc, and any donation will help make an impact. I will be running this fundraiser until I leave in the beginning of the second quarter of 2021 for my final9-month deployment overseas and the end goal is to raise $22,000 and hopefully beyond before the suspense date.
