<div>My name is Andy Dispensa and I am a writer, actor (The Chosen, NCIS Hawaii), director and creator. I'm embarking on producing my second full length play, Tweet Tweet (85 pages). I'm planning to have it premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June, or a full stand alone run at a theater in Los Angeles. My first play, 'The Hound, The Hare, and The Hallway' ran for 3 performances in 2018 as a part of New York Theater Festival's Winterfest. It was nominated for Best Actor (Andy Dispensa), Best Actress (Samantha Simone) and won Best Set Design (Shelby Loera, Jack Dispensa, Chris Dispensa) out of 80+ shows participating that year.

<div><strong>Synopsis:</strong>
</div>
<div>Life is upended for 32 year old PhD candidate Mark after a chance meeting with a stranger. Relationships with Ellen, his long-suffering fiancee, and friends are tested when Mark starts developing feelings outside the realm of what’s considered “normal”. But perhaps it’s all beyond his control. Tweet Tweet is a psychological comedy about what we think we can control and what we don’t know we can’t.

<div><strong>Why I'm doing a GoFundMe:</strong>
</div>
<div>Producing a play is never easy, even when you have the proper funding, but without it, it's near impossible to create something fulfilling and rewarding to both those a part of your creative team and ticket buying audiences. When it comes to theater I pride myself in doing things the right way: that means paying actors and crew. With your help you will be giving jobs to 12 actors (6 principals, 6 understudies), a stage manager, assistant stage manager, and set designer. You will be supplying the production with an immersive set, and crucial props and costumes. You will be providing both rehearsal space for our team to work in and theater rental space for the Fringe Festival. Most importantly, you will be giving up-and-coming artists an opportunity not only to further their careers, but the chance to work on high quality, thought provoking writing that isn't afraid of ruffling feathers by wrestling with complex themes.
