Dear Friends, It is with a heavy heart and utter shock that we announce the passing of Dr. Gilbert Chang.  Gilbert passed away on March 29, 2020 from a tragic traffic accident.  Gilbert leaves behind his wife Rose, daughter Kayci (19) and son Kyle (13).  As you can imagine Rose and the children are devastated by the loss of their husband and father. Gilbert was only 48 when his life was taken from his family.  Throughout his short life Gilbert was a very dedicated and focused person both in his personal and professional life.  He cared deeply for his family as well as all the patients under his care.  He worked tirelessly for his patients at John Muir Health, Sutter Delta, and Northbay Medical Center.  He wanted the best for his family, patients, colleagues and anyone that came into his life. Sadly, Gilbert’s wife Rose, his college sweetheart, now faces the challenge of raising the children as the sole caregiver after many years of being a stay at home mother.  Gilbert was able to achieve his dream of being a Medical Doctor with the love and support from Rose, Kayci and Kyle.  This sudden and tragic passing of a husband and father is not only emotionally painful but also brings financial hardship.  Gilbert took immense pride in being the sole provider for his family.  Rose, Kayci and Kyle need our support and prayers during this time of despair.   The support you give will help out with the funeral expenses, daily living expenses, healthcare for the family and the children’s college fund.  Any support is welcomed during this time of need and uncertainty as they cope life without a husband and father.
