There are many special people in the world, but it takes an extraordinary person to make everyone else feel special - and that pretty much sums up John Patrick Habermann.
With everything that's going on in the world, it's inspiring to see someone who is still making the most of each and every day in the face of his own personal adversity. COVID-19 has made life a little extra challenging for most of us, but John continues to smile and lift each of us up, refusing to let this pandemic or ALS stop him from LIVING life with enthusiasm and joy.
Currently, John is in the middle of a full bathroom renovation to make it handicap accessible and will be starting on some new supplements and medication that will cost over $2000 a month (which are not covered by insurance!) Additional expenses included acupuncture, travel expenses to Duke for his medication trial, and special equipment to help manage his symptoms and improve his quality of life. It all adds up fast and your support is much appreciated.
We all know John is the first person in line to help a friend - or a stranger - and now is a great time to return the favor.
