Tutoring for Jeremy

Jeremy is one of our Littles with Big Brothers Big Sisters. He is 14 years old and has been raised in York City. He currently is in 9th grade at a charter school in York City and gets good marks at his current school. However, upon visiting the school, it was quickly decided that good grades or not, he was not getting a proper education.
Jeremy has started the process to transition to Logos Academy starting in Fall 2018. Logos told Jeremy's parents that Jeremy would be a great fit and there is a spot open for him if he gets up to a 9th grade level in academics. The assessment test that was given to Jeremy said that his academic knowledge ranges from 5th-7th grade, depending on the subject.
Jeremy has 8 months to prepare before he has to take the assessment exam again at Logos to show that he is at a 9th grade level. We have enrolled him at Sylvan tutoring to catch him up. Right now he is on a schedule of two hour sessions three times a week for the next 8 months costing $6,300.
We (Matthew & Melanee) are currently trying to raise the funds to give Jeremy a fighting chance at life with a proper education. Any amount raised above and beyond the $6,300 will allow us to up the number of tutoring sessions in the summer to make sure he is academically prepared as possible to start at Logos.
