Hi good people,

I am writing this message to all of you with a heavy heart and a great deal of urgency. Some of you may have donated generously to our previous campaign for my son Chance's top surgery for which we were so grateful.

Now Chance is looking to complete his long journey of gender dysphoria and is looking forward to finding more happiness through his final upcoming surgery.

Unfortunately, we are still short of funds particularly since I, his father, lost my job a few months ago. I was working as an employment coach helping homeless , refugees and people facing barriers in not only finding employment but changing their lives. However, the employer was only interested in money and financial outcomes and got rid of a soft heart like me.

I have no regrets helping people as I have done all my life with students and refugees but now I really need help for my son, who really will start a new and happy life after surgery.

With the hate campaign towards transgender people being used by Trump and conservatives around the world, Chance is feeling quite down.

I urge everyone to donate anything you can and please share on your networks. For Chance, my family and the entire transgender cause this means so, so much - it truly is life changing.
