Support Tushinde's Kids

Donation protected
The Mathare slums of Nairobi, Kenya, are not an easy place to live, especially for kids and babies. The schools are far away, and families don't have clean water or enough food. About half of the children have experienced malnutrition, and many of their families have been mpacted by HIV.

Two students from Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Arlington, Virginia, have launched a campaign to help. Isabelle and Maia are supporting two day care centers serving 125 small children and babies. They are working with the Tushinde Children's Trust which provides these families with education, health care, and social support.

Here's how you can help:
1. Make a donation! All of your donations will go towards giving a young child or baby a meal, a toy to play with, or clothes to wear. It will pay for part of their school enrollment fees, or necessary medical equipment.
2. If you live in northern Virginia, donate your gently used childrens toys, clothes, pencils, notebooks, and school supplies, jump ropes and board games. Please contact us to arrange pick up or drop off.

All donations will be warmly welcomed!
This project is part of Maia and Isabelle's 8th grade community service project.
