Katy Gwin has breast cancer. That is right THE KATY GWIN has breast cancer.
For those of you who might not know Katy, she is the best. Literally the best person. Incredibly honest, sweet and compassionate individual, who will bend over backward to help others. She is beloved by her family and friends, and of course, she is adored by her husband and her kitties and puppies.
She has a passion for design and tile and is always the first person anyone calls when there is a tile emergency. Anyone who has ever had the privilege of working with Katy will tell you what a genuinely nice person she is, and how valued her expertise is in the industry. Katy is a hard worker and always goes the extra mile to ensure everyone else is taken care of. Katy is working full time while undergoing intense treatment, just to keep afloat.
Katy has a grueling 9-12 months ahead of her. Four miserable months of chemo, at least five months of radiation, surgery, hormone therapy and then ongoing medication. We all know that Katy can handle anything that comes her way, but something as trying as cancer can take a HUGE physical, emotional, and financial toll on even the strongest among us.
After hearing all of this terrible news, I think we all ask ourselves.....what can I do to help? Well, that is what this fundraiser is for, to offer as much aid to this unfortunate experience as we can. The stress of insane medical expenses is too much for anyone to endure on their own, even for a bad ass like Katy.
Our goal is $15,000, we are just hoping to help her make a dent in the out of pocket expenses, and if the insurance company had their way everything would be an out of pocket expense. Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated and will go towards treatments.
