Wheelchair van for Wm Tony Jones

Hi, my name is William "Tony" Jones. I am establishing
this GoFundMe campaign to raise money to purchase a
wheelchair van. This wheelchair van will be for my
personal use and enable me to attend medical appointments,
group meetings, and many other activities and/or events
that I am either involved in or desire to attend.
Although there are other modes of transportation
available to me such as metro buses and trains, and Access
Transportation, I have found them to be inconsistent at
times and unreliable at others.

I have a C-4 spinal cord injury that has left me
mostly paralyzed and unable to drive. I will be relying
on my son and caregiver to drive me wherever I need to go.

Let me just say this; although I am paralyzed and elderly (68),
I am determined to not allow anything to be a barrier as I
pursue my dreams and ambitions. At Rancho Los Amigos Natl.
Rehabilitatiob center I am involved in a few
activities, Performing Arts and Artists On The Rise among
them. I am also a member of the wellness center and attend
SCI Support Group meetings. Outside of Rancho I visit
area convalescent centers to meet and socialize with the
residents.

I am seeking to raise $15,000 to purchase the wheelchair van.
This van will be a tremendous help to me and
