Tuition for Top Nursing School

Donation protected
I am a 23 year old immigrant who recently achieved my dream of being accepted into the top Clinical Nurse Leader program in the state of California (at the University of San Francisco). Unfortunately, I have very little time to assemble the financial resources required to attend this school. The school does rolling quarterly admissions so I was only informed of my acceptance on March 28. I have only two weeks before the initial downpayment is due. The school will not allow for me to defer my acceptance (I already tried). I have Dreamer status but limited credit history, which means that I am unable to qualify for any kind of loan (not from the federal government, not from the school, and not from private banks).

I was born in Mexico and came to the US at age 7 with no English skills. I was on the Honors List at Woodside High School, and received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (January 2018) with a minor in Health Education from San Francisco State University. I had a 3.5 GPA and graduated cum laude while working 35-40 hours/week.

My bachelors degree was entirely self-financed through state grants, scholarships, and personal earnings. I am the daughter of a single mother who works fulltime as a janitor and has no financial resources to support me (annual income less than $15,000).

The initial downpayment for my first semester is due on May 1. The tuition for the first semester is $21,000. I hope to use the coming months to apply for and receive scholarships for the rest of the two year tuition ($90,000 total for two years). However, I need your help to secure the financing for the first semester tuition.

I know that this is a lofty goal, but I was raised in the Catholic church and learned through my faith to have a positive outlook. I truly believe that God has placed me in this path as he understands my passion of becoming a nurse to help other people while upholding the values of the Catholic faith. Attending USF will allow me to practice and promote both my career as well as my faith.

I intend to finish this program in two years while working at the Clinica de la Raza, where I will actively seek to give back to underprivileged Latinos. I very much hope to be a success story of what Dreamers can achieve and how they can be a positive force in this country.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide!
