This past May, Shelby lost her dad in a tragic motorcycle accident. Amidst the grief and pain of this loss, Shelby and her family have been an incredible testament to the power of a community rooted in faith!
If any of you know Shelby, she is a remarkable person with a bent towards loving people unconditionally. She has affected the community of Trinity Western University in ways unprecedented. You can find her speaking Mandarin with some students and Spanish with others, you will find her praying prior to chapel and walking alongside other students in life’s joys and trials. Shelby has played an incredible role on our campus, and is returning this year as a Resident Assistant and majoring in Linguistics.
We want to bless Shelby, and make it possible for her to return to university! We want to present Shelby with $10,000 which will alleviate some of the stress of finances this summer and coming year (so that she can spend time with her family instead of working more than full time)!
