Tucker Wears Goggles Vet Needs

Tucker is sweet, loving adopted 2 year old albino Min-pin/Chihuahua-miniature poodle mix.  Tucker is very unique and was born with a rare disease called Mucopolysaccharidosis VI (MPS VI).

What is MPS VI? 

It is a developmental disorder and means I am missing an enzyme throughout the recycling centers in the cells of my body. Because I am missing this enzyme my body cannot break down specific materials such as certain proteins and complex sugars. So, this results in material accumulating in my recycling centers (lysosomes) of my cells. The buildup then results in different problems and complications throughout my body.

Tucker is such a happy boy but at times simply living can be a challenge.  Tucker has lost his ability to walk and now relies on crawling with his front legs, while pushing himself with his back legs.  Sickness and other complications are recurring as well due to the disease which, unfortunately results in frequent vet visits, especially to maintain his health.   Every day we focus on achieving the most comfortable and fulfilling life for the little man and that’s where we need your help!  We have loved all of the support and love Tucker receives daily and only wish it continues!
