Tucker Tough Hrcn's Irma & Harvey

Donation protected

“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” Coretta Scott King

The Tuckers need our help. Hurricane Irma made her mark on all of Florida, and their home was flooded with rain and contaminated water. FEMA deemed the house a disaster area. Thankfully, they remained safe and healthy, but they lost virtually everything in the home and one vehicle. They are fortunate to have family nearby and were able to evacuate. Now they need to find a new home and piece their way of life back together.

The goal is to set them up with enough to cover a couple months of rent and replenish clothing, furniture, and other necessities. If you are not financially able to assist right now, then your prayers would be just as much a blessing for them to get back on their feet. If you are able to donate, even the smallest amount is a help.

John Tucker is a longtime educator in Brevard including Mel High, Florida Air, and Bayside High; he currently teaches at Odyssey Charter Jr/Sr where the students fondly look to him as a father figure and mentor. He has positively influenced thousands of lives over his teaching career, in addition to his involvement in outside organizations like the Bearded Villains and Iron Order motorcycle club. He is also an Army Veteran.  His wife, Debbie, works for Health First. She brightens the day for others doing little things like participating in #BrevardRocks and getting John to the bowling alley every Friday, no matter how low he scores. Three of the four children were affected by hurricanes. Sara is rebuilding her life after enduring Hurricane Harvey in Houston. Claire evacuated from Florida Southern to be with her parents and sister. RuthAnne, who works at Panera, lost her car. They, along with their brother Chris (US Army), deployed overseas, have been a bright smile or a giving heart in their own communities.

We wouldn't be here without each other; with each other, we are rooted. #TuckerTough

I am Chief Bob Cuddeback.  I am John's colleague and friend.  Several of us wanted to get this fundraiser going for the Tuckers including Kristin Pitts, Sean Dillon, Dee Wilson, Austin Reynolds, and others.  We kindly request a small donation - they all matter.

For me personally,  I will match every $100 donation up to $1,000.

Please be there for someone who has been there for our future generations and our nation.

If you want to make your gift anonymously, please at least put your city and state so we know how far this reached.

Thank you in advance.
