Remembering Joshua

Donation protected

Today is Joshua’s 27th birthday. But, because of the poor quality of mental health in our country, he is forever 22. On July 10, 2015, Joshua’s life-long struggle with mental illness ended with completion of suicide. His pain was too great, his disease was terminal. One of the ways we can make changes is through fundraising for organizations like NAMI.

The National Alliance On Mental Illness (NAMI) is a United States-based advocacy group originally founded as a grassroots group by family members of people diagnosed with mental illness. NAMI identifies its mission as being "dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness". NAMI offers classes and trainings for people living with mental illnesses, their families, community members, and professionals, including what is termed psychoeducation, or education about mental illness. They raise funds to raise awareness.

As a gift to my son, and to help prevent ANYONE else from experiencing this loss, I am asking for donations to support NAMI in their fight for change.

I do this for all the Joshua’s out there. My life is forever changed. Thank you.
