Help for The Betterton family

My name is Megan Ryan Betterton. I'm a wife, mom, and a teacher (religious educator). About a year ago my husband, Keegan, was served with legal papers that threatened to permanently take away his son from him. His former wife and her husband were trying to adopt his son and terminate Keegan's parental rights. We got to the point that we just couldn't afford to fight the case anymore. After many tears and prayers we felt The Lord needed us to continue to fight for his little boy. Whatever the outcome of the case, we knew that this little guy needed to be able to look back and know without question how much his father loved him and was willing to fight for him. After many months of court battles The Lord blessed our efforts and we WON the adoption case! Thanks to the miracles of our Heavenly Father, Keegan now has permanent parental rights and set visitation with his son.

However, this miracle came with a price. As a result of this legal battle we have completely drained our savings account and have over $40,000.00 in legal debt. It also costs us around $400 a trip every time we go see him, over 600 miles away. All of this debt coupled with our mortgage, bills, child support, and a 7-month old baby have made it impossible for us to financially stay afloat. Both Keegan and I are looking for 2nd jobs so we can afford to meet the needs of our family and take care of our financial responsibility in this situation.

I am asking for help for my family. We need to pay these debts down as soon as possible so that we don't lose our home or eventually have to file bankruptcy. All money donated will go towards legal fees and loans that we have taken out to fight for this cause.
