Saying Goodbye

Our dog Cricket is needing emergency vet care. We borrowed from family to start the treatment, but I need to raise money to help pay them back quicker. A little about Cricket. She is an almost nine year old schnoxie (schnauzer/dachshund) that we rescued almost 7 years ago. She started getting very lethargic two days ago and I spent $500 at the emergency vet tonight for initial tests that revealed she is very sick. She has extremely elevated bilirubin levels, and severe anemia along with dehydration. They have hospitalized her and are running tests to rule things out. We are praying it is one of the 6 viruses they are testing her for because those would be treatable. There is also a possiblity of a need for a blood transfusion. All of this puts the bill at low end $1500, high end $3000, plus the $500 I just paid. I am a single mom and have been since my daughter was 2. I take care of my mom as well. I make enough to get by, but I don't have extra. Cricket was brought home almost 7 years ago as a gift for my daughter, Raz. At the time Raz had just switched schools due to a severe bullying issue and really needed a friend. Cricket was that friend. They are inseparable. Raz has a lot of anxiety, and Cricket is always there with cuddles and kisses. Raz is an extremely hard working kid and goes out of her way to help anyone and everyone. I am praying you guys can help her out by helping her best friend.
